SEMH TA - Blackpool:

Prospero Teaching are looking for a SEMH Teaching Assistant to work in an excellent primary school near Blackpool. This role will involve delivering person-centred support to individuals who present challenging behaviours associated with Social, Emotional and Mental Health issues.

Responsibilites:

  • Supporting children inside and outside the classroom
  • Creating a safe, supportive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Working closely with other staff members to deliver person-centred support

Experience, Training & Qualifications:

  • Up to date Safeguarding certificate within the last year (desirable but training can be provided)
  • Team Teach qualification would be highly desired
  • Previous experience supporting pupils with SEMH

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

Hold right to work in the UK

Hold and enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application

Provide two professional child related references
