SEMH TA - Blackpool:

Prospero Teaching are looking for a teaching assistant to support children with SEMH needs. This is on a full time basis and will require supporting small groups and on 1-1 basis.

CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS

  • Location - Blackpool
  • Position - SEMH TA
  • Start Date - January 2025
  • End Date - Ongoing
  • Full time/part time: Full time only
  • Hours - 8:30am - 3:45pm
  • The Minimum Rate of Pay - £90 per day
  • Type of work: Temporary

EXPERIENCE

  • Relevant experience in a school or similar setting.
  • Experience of working with children and young people with special educational needs and/or social, emotional and mental health difficulties.
  • Experience of effectively and positively managing a class and leading learning with groups of pupils, using appropriate strategies to enable them to settle to learn.

TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • GCSE English/Maths at grade A to C or equivalent.
  • Commitment to all CPD offered.
  • Team Teach training would be beneficial to this role, however this can be provided for free.

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide a minimum of two professional related references
  • Provide a full CV from high school to present with gaps explained
