LRL are currently recruiting for a Manual Machinist for a well-established engineering and manufacturing company based in Blackpool.

Salary £35,360.00 per year / £17 per hour equivalent

OT1 - £23.12 (Midweek after 2.5 hrs and Saturday)

OT2 - £30.60 (Sunday)

Hours: 40hours per week, Monday - Thursday, 8:00am-17:00pm and Friday 8:00am - 14:30pm. Overtime available.

Responsibilities

As Manual Machinist, you will be responsible for operating a range of manual machines including borers, mills and lathes. You will be manufacturing components for road/rail excavators and equipment used within the rail industry, in the workshop, at customer's facilities or on site as required.

  • The repair and maintenance of plant and equipment, including modifications and upgrades of plant and machinery
  • Examination and repair of faults on plant and equipment
  • Evaluate information and data interpretation of technical information
  • Installing safety and productivity systems to machinery
  • Assembling and testing of new build machinery
  • Provide support in special projects/scheduled servicing of vehicles and plant
  • Observe and comply with correct Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Policy
  • Conduct and complete duties to a high standard and maintain a professional approach to employees and customers alike
  • Increase knowledge across the company by promoting and sharing of best practices
