SECONDARY ICT TECHNICIANBLACKPOOL

Working with a local secondary school based in Blackpool, we are looking for an ICT Technician for a temporary role that has the possibility to become permanent. 

The role, due to start with immediate effect, is a full time one, term time only, with hours to be confirmed.

The ICT Technician will play a crucial role in supporting the school's ICT infrastructure and ensuring the smooth operation of technology within the learning environment.

As an ICT Technician you will be responsible for:

  • Technical Support: Providing technical assistance to staff and students, troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • Network Administration: Maintaining and managing the school's network infrastructure, including servers, routers, and switches.
  • System Updates: Installing and updating operating systems, software applications, and security patches.
  • Hardware Maintenance: Repairing and replacing computer equipment, peripherals, and audiovisual systems.
  • Data Backup and Recovery: Implementing and managing data backup procedures to safeguard important information.
  • User Training: Providing training and support to staff and students on the use of ICT equipment and software.
  • Security: Ensuring the security of the school's network and data by implementing appropriate measures.

TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE ICT TECHNICIAN ROLE IN BLACKPOOL YOU WILL;

  • Ideally have previous experience as an ICT Technician, it would be desirable if it was in a school environment. 
  • Have UK Right To Work Status
  • Hold a Level 3 or equivalent qualification 
  • Have high expectations of achievement and behaviour and always strive to get the best out of your students.
  • Complete a registration with Vida Education which includes holding a current Enhanced DBS registered with the DBS Update Service, or be prepared to apply for a new ENHANCED DBS.
