Job Overview:As an Experienced Residential Conveyancing Fee Earner or Paralegal, you will play a key role in managing a caseload of residential property transactions, guiding clients through the process from start to finish. The role requires a proactive individual who is highly organized, confident in dealing with clients, and experienced in residential conveyancing law.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of residential conveyancing transactions from initial instruction through to post-completion.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on all aspects of residential property transactions, including sales, purchases, remortgages, leasehold and freehold matters.
- Draft and review legal documents such as contracts, transfers, and lease agreements.
- Handle property searches, completion statements, and liaison with third parties including solicitors, estate agents, and mortgage lenders.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements in line with best practices.
- Maintain accurate records and case management, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Communicate effectively with clients, offering exceptional customer service throughout the process.
- Assist with the development and improvement of departmental processes and procedures.
Key Requirements:
- Solid experience in residential conveyancing, either as a fee earner or paralegal.
- Excellent understanding of residential property law and current legal procedures.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively.
- High attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
- Previous experience using case management systems is highly desirable.
- A professional and proactive approach to work.
Desirable Qualifications/Skills:
- Law degree or equivalent legal qualifications.
- CILEX qualification (or working towards) is advantageous.
- Experience in handling complex transactions and client queries.
