Reed Education is looking for a dynamic Art and Design Technology Teacher to join a secondary school in Wyre, Lancashire. This is an immediate start for a long-term position. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of the curriculum, excellent communication skills, and a dedication to creating an engaging learning environment.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Delivering Art & Design Technology lessons to KS3 and KS4 students, with KS5 being an advantage.
  • Creating a stimulating classroom environment that fosters learning and creativity.
  • Planning, preparing, and delivering lessons that cater to the needs of all students.
  • Assessing and recording students’ progress and providing feedback.
  • Managing classroom behaviour effectively and ensuring a safe learning environment.
  • Collaborating with other teachers, parents, and stakeholders to maximise student learning.
  • Participating in school events and activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Must have QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent.
  • Recent relevant experience of teaching Art & Design Technology at KS3 and KS4, with KS5 being an advantage.
  • Excellent classroom practitioner with strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills.
  • Reliable, committed, and able to act as a good role model for students.
  • Good interpersonal skills, punctuality, patience, and confidence when working with children.
