About the Role:We are seeking a compassionate and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant and inclusive school community in Blackpool. The successful candidate will support students with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and speech and language difficulties, helping them to access the curriculum, develop their social skills, and build confidence in a nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and group support to students with SEN.
  • Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to deliver tailored learning activities.
  • Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents/carers.
  • Promote independence and positive social interaction among pupils.

About You:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN (preferably in an educational setting).
  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting children with additional needs.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A flexible and proactive attitude.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 TA or SEN qualification) are desirable but not essential.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
