Assistant Accountant is sought to manage the financial tasks of a growing industrial / manufacturing company. The role requires diligent financial oversight and the ability to collaborate with various departments.
Client Details
This is a large industrial / manufacturing company based close to Blackwood. With over 500 employees, the company is renowned for its commitment to sustainability and innovation in the manufacturing sector.
Description
- Accurate processing of sales invoices and credit notes
- Allocate customer receipts
- Issue statements to customers and deal with any queries customer queries with regards to invoicing
- Liaise with senior management and sales teams regarding customer accounts and queries and resolving issues to avoid late payments etc.
- Maintain and report daily sales and issue relevant reports to relevant stakeholders
- Reconcile bank transactions
- Reconciliation of HSBC Invoice Facility.
- Reconciliation of invoice discounting facilities AR & AP items
- Dial with FX exposure, conversion, risk and coverage
- Responsibility for cash management procedures, ensuring they are always complied with and that the relevant parties understand and adhere to them.
- Assist in the closure of Month End. Completion of accruals and prepayments and P&L review.
- Assist and preparing documentation for year end audits and any other audits required.
Profile
A successful Assistant Accountant should have:
- Degree in Finance, PQ ACCA or similar qualification or substantial experience
