Robert Half are exclusively recruiting an Assistant Accountant for a long-standing client based in Pontypool.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team, working on a variety of projects by supporting Senior Leadership within Finance. The successful candidate will be an ambitious and versatile accounting professional, with a strong work ethic and the willingness to learn new financial processes.
Location: Pontypool
Annual salary: £29,500
Office / WFH: Remote working with one day a week onsite (typically Wednesdays)
Start date: October 2024 - ideally the successful candidate will be on no more than one month's notice period
Key Responsibilities
- Take a lead in the supplier payment process
- Cash reconciliations daily
- Produce Cash Forecasting documents for review by Finance Business Partner
- Present any findings to FBP and identify solutions
- Produce Cash Actualisation documents and identify areas of improvement
- Daily funding
- Ensure financial controls and processes are always adhered to
- Assist with preparation for Internal and External Audit
- Take part in any ad-hoc finance project activities when required
Your Profile
- Previous experience working within a finance team
- Studying towards a recognised professional Finance qualification is desirable
- Possess the ability to effectively communicate with senior stakeholders
- IT literate, including Microsoft Office, and most importantly Excel
- The ability to use your own initiative and work from home as well as part of a team.
