Job Title: Learner Support Assistant

Role Overview:
Our client is a well-established training provider, committed to supporting young learners aged 16-19 in achieving their full potential. They are looking for Learner Support Assistants to provide tailored support to learners, ensuring they fully engage with their training programme and successfully progress towards their learning goals.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about working with young people and helping them overcome barriers to learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to learners, assisting them in completing their assigned work.
- Engage and motivate learners to actively participate in lessons and remain on track with their learning.
- Support the delivery of learning programmes by ensuring learners are engaged and supported at all times.
- Help learners develop their confidence and key skills, including maths, English, and ICT.
- Clarify and explain instructions, ensuring learners fully understand their tasks.
- Monitor learner progress and provide regular updates to tutors.
- Assist in the production of lesson plans and the development of appropriate learning resources.
- Support tutors with administrative tasks, ensuring all learner paperwork is completed on time and meets compliance requirements.
- Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion within the learning environment.
Essential/Desirable Criteria:
Essential:
- Experience working with young people (16-18) in a similar role.
- Good organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and able to work under pressure.
- A strong team player with a flexible approach.
Desirable:
- Assessor qualification.
- Classroom Assistant or Learning Support qualification (or equivalent).
- Knowledge of the training industry and learning environments.
- Understanding of Safeguarding & Prevent policies.
- Fluent in Welsh.
