Senior Software Engineer

Our client, a leader in providing bespoke and innovative technical solutions in the various industries, is seeking an experienced software engineer to join their dynamic and growing engineering design team.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a software engineer with strong skills in LabVIEW. The role involves developing software for cutting-edge solutions and providing technical support and training to junior engineers. The successful software engineer will be responsible for the conceptual design and development of software, ensuring high-quality and efficient solutions.

Key Responsibilities of a Software Engineer:

  • Develop software for new equipment, including drivers, software modules, and test sequences.
  • Design, write, and document maintainable, extensible, reliable, and efficient code.
  • Participate in preliminary and critical design reviews, integration, validation, and commissioning.
  • Liaise with customers to translate system specifications into software module specifications.
  • Assist and support junior team members, conduct peer assessments, and carry out acceptance testing both in the factory and on-site.

Key Skills of a Software Engineer:

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a creative approach to finding solutions.
  • Methodical and organised in producing software code and documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
