Senior Software Engineer

Our client, a leader in providing bespoke and innovative technical solutions in the various industries, is seeking an experienced software engineer to join their dynamic and growing engineering design team.
Position Overview:
We are looking for a software engineer with strong skills in LabVIEW. The role involves developing software for cutting-edge solutions and providing technical support and training to junior engineers. The successful software engineer will be responsible for the conceptual design and development of software, ensuring high-quality and efficient solutions.
Key Responsibilities of a Software Engineer:
- Develop software for new equipment, including drivers, software modules, and test sequences.
- Design, write, and document maintainable, extensible, reliable, and efficient code.
- Participate in preliminary and critical design reviews, integration, validation, and commissioning.
- Liaise with customers to translate system specifications into software module specifications.
- Assist and support junior team members, conduct peer assessments, and carry out acceptance testing both in the factory and on-site.
Key Skills of a Software Engineer:
- Strong problem-solving skills and a creative approach to finding solutions.
- Methodical and organised in producing software code and documentation.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and able to work well within a team.
- Good time management skills to ensure project deadlines are met.
Experience of a Software Engineer:
- Degree in Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer.
- Experience with the full lifecycle software design process.
- Proficiency in LabVIEW and TestStand (CLD minimum desirable).
- Ability to meet the criteria for Security Check (SC).
