Project Manager - Newcastle (Remote) - up to £65,000 + Benefits - Ref 1738

I am currently recruiting for a Project Manager to work for an engineering organisation based in Newcastle. Salary up to £65,000 + Benefits.

This company works with industry, educational establishments, and the public sector, providing consultancy and design services to assist clients in becoming more sustainable. They also support a range of sectors with development of low carbon energy projects (renewable energy generation and decarbonisation strategies) to become net zero.

To support the growth of the business and the major upcoming projects they now have the need to appoint a Project Manager on a permanent basis.

In this role as a Project Manager, you will be Project Manager for the District Heating projects they have upcoming. You will form a key part of the team delivering innovative low carbon energy projects. The team covers a wide spectrum of energy solutions including renewable energy generation, decarbonisation solutions, energy reduction measures and the design and implementation of low carbon energy infrastructure. This Project Manager role is primarily focused on overseeing the Design Process for decarbonisation technologies, where the company anticipates significant future growth in line with the UK heat decarbonisation strategy and the implementation of heat distribution networks at town and city scale.

Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Project Manager (Design Process)
  • Engineering Background
  • Managing an internal design team
  • Overseeing multiple projects at once

Beneficial Requirements:

  • Experience with sustainable energy, net zero, decarbonisation, heat pumps or similar
  • Design Experience
