Our client, a leading aerospace engineering firm based in Rochester, are looking to recruit a PFD (Penetrant Flaw Detection) Processor in their Final Inspection department to assist in the finishing and testing of their products.

As a PFD Processor main duties will include:

Manufacturing

  • Passing manufactured parts through acid etch and degrease processing line
  • Assessing and applying appropriate cleaning techniques to manufactured parts prior to/after final inspection
  • Carrying out final inspections on parts ensuring compliance with applicable regulations

Maintenance and Checks

  • Setting up relevant equipment and conducting control checks to ensure operational readiness

Record Keeping

  • Maintaining accurate technical records of inspections and related activities
  • Carrying out touch screen bookings
  • Assisting with internal and external audits

The ideal PFD Processor will have:

  • Experience in a manufacturing/production environment
  • Experience using a variety of tools and testing equipment
  • Strong organisational skills and a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Accurate record keeping and strong IT skills

Training is available to Level 2 NSA410 Level 2 PFD Inspection certification. Once certified your increased skills and knowledge will broaden the scope of the role and increase the salary accordingly.

Hours of work

Monday - Thursday (Apply online only) and Friday (Apply online only) - 48 hours a week

Benefits include free on-site parking, 25 days holiday plus Bank holidays and pension.
