Section Engineer - Major Highway Project - Cornwall
Randstad C&P are recruiting for an experienced Section Engineer to join a major highway project in Cornwall. This is a contract role offering a competitive rate and the opportunity to work on a challenging project within a leading construction company.
- Minimum 4-month contract duration
- Outside IR35 subject to IR35 assessment
Responsibilities:
- Review and manage drainage plans and specifications.
- Conduct material take-offs and prepare Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
- Engage with the site team for resource requirements.
- Manage setting out operations utilizing GPS and Total Station technology.
- Maintain daily documentation and quality assurance checks.
- Conduct site inspections and safety assessments.
- Mentor junior staff and foster effective team relationships.
Essential Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in civil engineering.
- Relevant CSCS card and SSSTS/SMSTS certification.
* Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team.
- Must be able to obtain a highways passport, or already hold one.
* Must hold a safety critical medical.
