Astute's EPC Power team is partnering with a leading Principal Contractor within the Renewables industry. We have a Senior Project Engineer position with our client on a 9 months basis based in the South of the UK.
The Senior Project Engineer comes with a day rate from 500.00 to 600.00 per day outside of IR35.
Key skills and responsibilities:
- Work closely with design teams to review, assess, and approve project designs for site installations.
- Provide technical guidance and oversight to ensure designs meet project specifications and industry standards.
- Collaborate with project managers and site teams to facilitate smooth project execution.
- Conduct risk assessments and propose mitigation strategies for design and installation challenges.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare and present technical reports, progress updates, and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to achieve project objectives.
- Assist in resolving technical issues and provide engineering solutions during the installation phase.
- Ensure adherence to project schedules and budgets while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related field).
- Valid SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification.
- Proven experience working with design teams to review and approve designs for site installations within the renewables sector.
- Strong knowledge of renewable energy systems, construction methodologies, and industry regulations.
Location, remuneration and timeframe of the Senior Project Engineer position:
- Sites are based in Cornwall and Hampshire, so there will be occasional travel to and from these sites.
- 500.00 to 600.00 per day
- Start date - February 2025
