Field Service Engineer (Electrical Installation)

Southwest – Plymouth

£37,000 to £40,000 Basic Salary + Overtime (1.5x – OTE £50,000 to £70,000) + Van (Can be used Personally) + 21 Days Holiday (Increase with Service – No Limit) + Bank Holidays + Healthcare Scheme + Training and Development

Monday to Friday 07:00 to 16:00 or 08:00 to 17:00 – Call Out Rota 1 Week in 4

Field Service Engineer required for a leading supplier of variable speed drives and support services. This is a great opportunity to join an industry specialist who can invest a huge amount of training and development into the successful candidate. They can offer job security and a very competitive OTE.

To apply for this role, you will be an experienced electrical engineer but can come from any industrial background. You will need experience working with large cables and experience reading and interpreting technical drawings.

The successful candidate will be joining a growing team responsible for carrying out pre-planned services, breakdown repairs and planned upgrades at customer sites. You will work within a variety of sectors including manufacturing, energy and water industries.

For one week in four this role will require the successful candidate to be on call 24/7. However, during this week the candidate will be based at home and will be responsible for providing remote technical support and will complete paperwork such as risk assessments.

The Field Service Engineer Role:

· Working with variable speed drives and electric motors

· Carry out service, repair and upgrades

· Typically working within a 1 hour – 1.5 hour radius of home

· Occasional overnight stay

· On call rota – 1 in 4 weeks

· Regular overtime available

The Field Service Engineer Candidate:

· Experienced electrical engineer

· Experience working within industrial environments
