GSL Education is collaborating with a Special Needs school in Bodmin to recruit additional Teaching Assistants. This school serves children with special needs in KS 3-4. All students have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and various additional needs, such as Autism, ADHD, Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs, severe learning difficulties, physical disabilities, and visual or hearing impairments, along with a range of complex needs.

GSL Education are seeking those with previous SEN Teaching Assistant or those with good transferrable skills e.g. Support or Care work.

Job Title: Special Needs Teaching Assistant      
Location: Bodmin
Salary:   £83.33 per day
Start Date: October 2024

Type of work: Short term supply, part or full-time, longer-term roles available.

Requirements:  

  • Experienced candidates will be prioritized.
  • Candidates with a driving license and vehicle access will be given preference.
  • Excellent communication skills are a must.

  • Assist students throughout their educational journey as a Special Needs Assistant.

  • Apply consistent interventions and participate in activities to promote academic progress and success.
