Elderly Care Home

Salary range £35,000 to £45,000

Bognor Regis, Chichester.

Our client is an experienced, family run small group of care homes in Bognor Regis and Chichester. They have three properties and plans to open another in 2025.

They prioritise the well being and quality of life of their residents and staff, creating a warm and nurturing home-from-home where they can thrive.

They require a passionate and dedicated Group Compliance Officer to join their growing team. Reporting to the Directors, this permanent full-time role, helping to ensure the group’s care homes are delivering high quality care.

About the Role

The group compliance officer is responsible for ensuring the group’s care homes adheres to required regulations and policies, helping to ensure effective compliance risk management:

  • Establish/maintain a standardised governance and compliance structure across the homes in the group, including standardised group policies and procedures.
  • Provide regular on-site presence within services to audit records, observe practice, liaise with staff and collaborate with registered and service managers and their teams to improve and develop services.
  • Auditing against CQC criteria and analysing data to provide comprehensive reports for managers to provide action plans to enable them to develop and improve services.
  • Maintain a constant awareness of CQC and other compliance related activity and provide regular updates for Managers. Liaise with CQC, industry bodies and other homes around new initiatives and developments
  • Manage any specific projects in relation to quality or compliance as requested by the providers or registered managers.
  • Provide management support to care homes when required

What they are looking for

  • Ideally qualified to NVQ Level 5 or equivalent in health and social care
  • Strong knowledge of CQC requirements for adult social care and related legislation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to listen attentively to others
  • Ability to collaborate and work professionally with care home managers and carers
