About the Role:
As a Deputy Team Manager in the CMHT, you will support the Team Manager in leading and supervising a team of social workers, mental health professionals, and support staff. You will play a key role in service delivery, performance management, and ensuring the provision of high-quality, person-centred care.
The team works with adults with severe and enduring mental health conditions, promoting recovery, independence, and safeguarding.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the day-to-day operational running of the team
- Provide supervision and professional support to social work staff
- Oversee complex cases and contribute to care planning and risk management
- Ensure compliance with Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act, and Mental Health Act
- Contribute to safeguarding investigations and strategic planning
- Liaise with NHS mental health professionals and other multi-agency partners
- Maintain quality standards and support audit and performance reporting
Requirements:
- Registered with Social Work England
- Recognised Social Work qualification
- Enhanced DBS
- Substantial experience in adult mental health and team leadership
- Strong working knowledge of relevant legislation and best practice frameworks
