About the Role

We are excited to announce an exciting opportunity within the Business Development team of one of our key clients: an experienced Bid Manager to lead and manage strategic bids that support the growth, sustainability, and competitive edge of our business. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams and participation in shaping the company’s strategic objectives.

As Bid Manager, you will contribute to maintaining our position as an industry leader by overseeing high-impact bid initiatives, engaging new market sectors, and driving profitability. The role requires a creative and experienced professional with the vision to enhance bid quality and competitiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Leading the project management of complex, high-value bids

  • Crafting, editing, and refining high-quality bid proposals

  • Overseeing the organisation and improvement of the Bid Library and Case Studies

  • Ensuring tender submissions are complete and compliant

  • Coaching and mentoring Bid Writers

  • Building effective networks and relationships within the company

  • Working alongside the Business Development Lead, with the ability to step in as deputy when required

  • Managing additional value-driven projects, such as award submissions

About You

We seek a talented and driven individual with a passion for both writing and project management. The ideal candidate will possess an eye for detail and design, a proactive approach, and the ability to communicate clearly and persuasively. A deep understanding of contractual and commercial elements and the skill to contribute to financial aspects of bid development are highly beneficial.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Demonstrated experience in professional writing, ideally in bid production

  • Strong ability to meet tight deadlines in time-sensitive roles

  • Experience managing multiple projects and coordinating various stakeholders
