A large secondary School based in Bolton is looking to appoint an experienced and skilled Site Manager. The Site Manager plays a crucial role in the daily upkeep and maintenance of the school's site.Location: Bolton (BL3)Hours: 10am - 6pm (Full-time)Contract Type: Temporary, temp to perm availableStart Date: ASAPKey Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Lead the team of cleaners and undertake cleaning duties
  • Complete basic maintenance within the school building as required (not requiring a contractor)
  • Maintain the security of the school by locking/unlocking entrances and exits and reporting potential security breaches
  • Test and operate alarm systems where appropriate
  • Complete daily risk assessments of the premises
  • Act as a main keyholder for the school and respond to call-outs, liaising with emergency services if necessary
  • Order relevant equipment and oversee their receipt, distribution and collection
  • Undertake routine maintenance on faulty equipment, reporting more serious faults to the relevant person
  • Arrange, liaise with and supervise contractors performing higher level repairs and maintenance

Key Skills/Experience:

  • Experience working as a Site Manager/Supervisor within an Educational Setting
  • Experience in performing minor repairs
  • Experience in liaising with external contractors
  • Strong knowledge of health & safety and safeguarding procedures
  • Able to use a range of equipment relevant to the role
  • Experience in supervising staff
