Guidant Global is collaborating with our client, a trusted partner of the UK's Ministry of Defence, to find a proficient Electrical Calibration Operator. The role involves carrying out regular calibration of Special to Type Test Equipment (STTE) and Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) equipment.

What we're looking for:

  • Develop clear and comprehensive calibration & maintenance records.
  • Experience in calibrating COTS/Special to Type Test Equipment
  • Experience working on Environmental Stress Screening Facilities (ESS) is desirable.
  • Knowledge in calibrating electrical test equipment such as Power Supplies, Multimeters, Oscilloscopes, Function Generators, etc.
  • Understanding In-service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment
  • Capable of following the manufacturer's instructions, and an excellent understanding of SAP would be desirable.
  • Approved Apprenticeship/Apprenticeship Framework/Modern Apprenticeship

What you'll get to do as an Electrical Calibration and Maintenance Operator:

The role involves supporting the Operations team within a multi-disciplined environment. Key responsibilities include the initial calibration, routine calibration, and maintenance of test and measurement equipment. The role also ensures that factory and proprietary test and measuring equipment adhere to current procedures. Additionally, the role involves performing calibration and repair tasks according to departmental processes and procedures, and generating clear and comprehensive calibration/maintenance records for traceability purposes.

Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship

Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by our clients Security Team.
