Due to a sustained period of growth, our client is looking for a Calibration & Maintenance Electronics Engineer to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects supporting the assembly, integration, and testing of advanced missile systems. You will play a key role in ensuring the maintenance and calibration of complex test equipment, providing technical support across a highly skilled manufacturing environment.In addition, our client is a world-leading, multi-national organisation that will challenge and develop your technical capabilities, offering you the chance to work in state-of-the-art facilities at the forefront of the defence sector.This is an excellent opportunity to further develop your expertise in calibration, test system maintenance, and electronic fault-finding while contributing to some of the most innovative projects in the industry.Duties and Responsibilities will include:
  • Service and maintain electrical and electronic test equipment, including Special to Type Test Equipment (STTE).
  • Conduct calibration, commissioning, drift analysis, fault-finding, and repairs of test equipment.
  • Support routine and non-routine tasks, working alongside engineers and manufacturing support teams.
  • Develop expertise in vibration, shock, and signal assessments across a range of technologies (DC to Microwave).
  • Ensure compliance with calibration procedures and industry standards.
  • Assist in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance calibration processes and reliability.
  • Maintain records and documentation using SAP and other database systems.
To be suitable for the role you will have:
  • HNC/HND in Electrical & Electronics Engineering (or equivalent qualification/experience).
  • Experience in calibration and maintenance of test equipment to component level.
  • Strong understanding of calibration principles and test system fault-finding.
  • Ability to interpret and work from technical drawings, circuit diagrams, and schematics.
  • Experience working with SAP is desirable.
  • Knowledge of Environmental Chambers is an advantage.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work effectively in a high-tech manufacturing environment.
