Finance Manager opportunity within the Group Finance Department of an ambitious and growing Private Equity backed business offering great benefits and future career progression.

The Company

A fast growing Private Equity backed business services group with operations across three continents. The group provides specialist technology and advisory solutions to SME and lower / mid-market Corporate clients and continues to expand organically and through acquisition. Major growth is planned for 2025 and the board now seek to strengthen the group finance function with the appointment of a Qualified Accountant.

The Opportunity

An exciting new opportunity exists for an ambitious, driven and enthusiastic Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) which involves managing the finances for an expanding division within the group. Reporting to a Divisional Financial Controller and also supporting FD and CFO, you will oversee a small team and take full responsibility for all aspects of financial reporting and management accounting.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Your role will involve a wide range of tasks and as the group continues to expand organically and through acquisition you will have the opportunity to gain exposure to acquisition accounting and project work.

As Finance Manager your primary responsibilities will include the following:

  • Responsibility for all accounting, reporting and reconciliation for a division in the group and overseeing all day to day accounting operations
  • Cashflow forecasting and analysis for the relevant entities
  • Production of weekly and monthly KPI reports
  • Maintaining a strong and robust financial control environment
  • Ownership of the preparation of monthly management accounts, including balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assistance with preparation of Board Packs for Directors
  • Working with the Group FPA team on budgeting and variance reporting
  • Provide ad hoc support to the Group FD, CFO/ CEO and business MDs

The Person

You will be an experienced Accounting & Finance professional able to meet the following criteria:

  • Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA)
  • Background in either Top 20 / Mid Tier Chartered Practice or Commerce & Industry
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Excel, capable of the creation and maintenance of moderately complex spreadsheets and the analysis of large data sets
  • Flexible and adaptable individual able to thrive in a high growth and ever-changing business
