Our client is looking for a Human Resources Assistant to join their team at a fantastic reputable company based in the centre of Bolton. This is an outstanding opportunity to grow your HR career with an established, forward-thinking firm.

The HR Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the HR department by ensuring a smooth and efficient recruitment and onboarding process for new employees.

Salary: £26,000-30,000 per annum (negotiable)

Job Description

  • Reviewing existing HR policies and creating new policies whilst considering implementing further company benefits if deemed appropriate
  • Monitor the HR inbox and respond to queries in a timely manner.
  • Prepare onboarding materials, including welcome packets, employee handbooks, and other necessary documentation for new hires.
  • Managing all aspects of recruitment, supporting the department heads with adverts, selection and 1st interviews and utilising the online portal.
  • Responsible for maintaining all Personnel files including starters and leavers on the HR system.
  • Updating the employee handbook and keep abreast of employment law, policies and procedures
  • Monitoring sickness and holidays and reporting to the Senior Management team
  • Administering Payroll information, Pensions, Insurances, Company expenses and company benefits
  • Working on ad-hoc HR Projects

Personal Specification:

  • Able to communicate at all levels
  • Approachable with excellent organisational and communication skills
  • A natural people person / motivator / strong communicator / confident manner
  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring all documentation is completed accurately
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Proficiency in using IT systems including MS Office Word and Excel
  • An interest to pursue a career within HR (study support is an option)
  • Car owner / driver preferred to visit other local sites
