About the Role:We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic ICT/Computing Teacher to cover a long-term absence at a secondary school in Bolton. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons in Computing and ICT to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, ensuring they develop the skills needed for success in their studies and beyond. The successful candidate will be passionate about technology and education, able to motivate students, and provide them with the support they need to excel in this fast-moving subject.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in ICT and Computing to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students.
  • Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of students with varying abilities, including those with special educational needs (SEN).
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback and support.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters student participation and learning.
  • Help prepare students for exams and future pathways in the ICT and Computing fields.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the delivery of a high-quality curriculum.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in ICT, Computing, or a related field.
  • Experience teaching ICT/Computing at secondary school level (Key Stage 3 & 4).
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring students in the field of technology.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt lessons for students of varying abilities, including those with SEN.
  • A proactive, positive attitude with a focus on student success.
