TeacherActive are looking for TA / Teaching Assistant in an established Secondary School in Bolton. The school are looking for an individual to grow with them as a general class TA, and therefore the ability to support young people at varying levels of academic progress is essential. The role will begin on a day rate, but quickly lead to a salary for the right candidate. They are looking for someone who is confident in leading small group interventions, involving some challenging behaviour.
The ideal TA / Teaching Assistant should have the following:
- Level 2 or 3 qualified and/or a minimum of 6 months experience in an educational establishment
- A calm, patient and caring persona
- Good communication skills
- A good understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines
- Experience in working with supporting students in a small group basis
