Based on the outskirts of Bolton this group have recently acquired a large business in the south and are moving finance to the North West. They operate in the service sector and boast several revenue streams. Established for many years, they are known across the UK for providing quality services and most importantly known locally for their excellent staff retention who feel valued and motivated being provided with a great place to work.
Your new role as Head of Finance:
Taking the lead within the finance department, you shall be responsible for the day to day finance operation, taking the lead on management accounting and reporting for a multi-site operation. Supporting the Managing Director and commercial lead you shall report to the CFO to ensure the production of meaningful financial reporting, and mothy/yearly accounting. Leading the finance function you shall manage a small team of 8. As Head of Finance in a varied role, you will be responsible for managing the internal processes and procedure, seeking ways to improve each element whilst working towards promotion in the future.
Main Role Duties:
Leading the Finance team, providing support and development to junior staff
Finance Business Partnering across the commercial teams, building up a good rapport with stakeholders
Preparation and presentation of monthly management accounts to the board
Preparation of budgets, forecasts and cashflows
Compliance with all HMRC submissions
Review and continuous development across process and procedure, ensuring each are fit for purpose through identifying areas of improvement
Financial Analysis, developing reporting and process in this area
Build and maintain good working relationships across all departments of the business
Experience & Qualifications Required to apply:
In order to be considered you shall be well rehearsed in all areas of the JD above. A self-disciplined, hands-on finance professional you shall have operated in a similar role. With strong attention to detail and a team working ethic, you shall have experience of managing others in junior posts with a proven track record of improving internal process and procedure. With strong IT skills your excel skills shall include VLookups and pivot tables as a minimum.
