About the Role

A fantastic opportunity to play a leading role in the growth of a successful international business in the Bolton area!

As Export and Logistics Manager, you will be a hands-on leader, managing a small team which handles shipments to customers all over the globe.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily global logistics operations, tracking international shipments and ensuring timely and accurate customer deliveries
  • Act as the key contact for governmental and regulatory compliance, ensuring the company meet all international trade requirements and transportation regulations
  • Ensure data accuracy in import duty and VAT submissions
  • Assist with product selection and pricing to improve transportation routes
  • Support account managers to produce costs and quotes which incorporate shipment / delivery
  • Lead a small team, creating a high performance culture and delivering process improvements
  • Create and maintain monthly KPIs, analysing logistic invoicing variances
  • Proactively identify risks and develop contingency plans

Key Skills

  • Significant expertise in import and export regulations for international shipping
  • Previous experience shipping pharma products or medical devices
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Proven track record working to tight and critical deadlines, prioritizing by risk
  • Organized, logical, and adaptable to changing policies and procedures
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and software systems
  • Knowledge of MDR / IVDR and various countries' logistic requirements would be a significant advantage
