English Teacher Bolton - January start A dedicated and passionate English Teacher is required to work at a good secondary school in Bolton, to join them on a full-time basis, teaching key stage 3 & 4 from after the Christmas break for the remainder of the current academic year of 24/25 on a full-time basis. This position is five days a week, full time, and is open to ECTs as well as experienced Bolton teachers. You will be required to become fully involved within the department & school, like a permanent member of staff, and attend departmental meetings when required, and be available for parents' evenings as well as planning and delivering captivating, high standard lessons that will stretch the pupils in their learning. You will also be required to mark the work and provide feedback along the way. It would be advantageous if you have recently taught year 11 classes in English language and literature with good GCSE results, however this is not essential. Leaders have introduced a system to promote pupils positive behaviour, which is applied consistently by staff. This means that learning is rarely disrupted. This shows the schools strong focus on positive behaviour management. Leaders identify the needs of pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) effectively. Teachers are well trained to support pupils with SEND to learn alongside their peers. This shows the schools strong focus on every child counts and making sure education can be accessed by all.
