Religious Education Teacher - Bolton - February start We are supporting a secondary school in Bolton, who are recruiting for a temporary teacher of Religious Education on a full time basis. The role will start after the February half term holiday and will be for the rest of the current academic year. This school is a popular school within the local area. This position is five days a week, and the successful teacher will teach Religious Education to key stage 3 & 4 classes of varying academic abilities. You will be asked to deliver pre-planned lessons that will excite the students as well as enhance their academic abilities in the subject. You will be required to attend departmental meetings and parents evenings. You will also be required to mark the work you deliver, and provided regular feedback to students & help them to progress in the subject. The department is extremely welcoming and supportive. CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS Location Bolton Position Religious Education Teacher Type of work Teaching Start date February 2025 End date - July 2025 Contract type Temporary Full time Minimum rate of pay GBP162.31 Hours 8:15 am 4pm EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS Degree educated with a good classification Secondary QTS (PGCE, SCITT, B.Ed, QTS, etc) in Religious Education Previous experience teaching History to young people (which we can reference) Experience of teaching in a UK Secondary School (which we can reference) Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential) Up to date prevent awareness & FGM training issued in the last 3 years (essential) TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST: Hold Right to Work in the UK Hold an enhanced DBS certificate that is on the update service or be willing to process a new application Provide at least two professional child related references to cover the last two years If you would like to be considered for this role, please apply today with a copy of your up to date CV.
