Role Overview:

  • Work alongside Safeguarding Social Workers to deliver high-quality interventions with children and families.
  • Support family time, complete home visits, and engage in direct work with children.
  • Assist families with behaviour management, routines, budgeting, and referrals to support services.
  • Work with families subject to Child in Need, Child Protection, and court proceedings.
  • Office-based part of the week with travel to Bolton as needed.

Main Duties:

  • Contribute to risk assessments and protect children from harm.
  • Plan and record interventions, supporting overall assessments by social care teams.
  • Deliver quality interventions using EYFS guidance and behaviour management strategies.
  • Work in partnership with families on protection plans.
  • Communicate and collaborate with professionals and agencies.
  • Manage a caseload effectively and support students and volunteers.

Person Specification:

  • Relevant level 3 qualification (e.g., NNEB, NVQ3, BTEC).
  • Experience working with children and families in support services.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, manage time, and develop activities for children.
  • Commitment to equal opportunities, user involvement, and continuous professional development.
  • Willingness to work outside normal office hours and undertake mandatory training.
  • Enhanced DBS check required.
