Hays Education are currently working in partnership with a primary school in Bootle to recruit a PPA teacher for 5 days a week starting in September 2025. You will be covering PPA and subject leader time across Years 1 - Year 6.The school is welcoming applications from experienced teachers and ECTS.In the role of a PPA Cover Teacher, you will be responsible for covering when the class teacher takes time away to plan and prepare future lessons. You will be expected to deliver the lessons left by the class teacher and ensure pupils are still fully engaged in the work and reaching their potential. It is key to have good communication roles and be able to build relationships quickly with both staff and pupils. This is a great role for an NQT/ECT to gain experience in various classrooms or for someone looking for a part time teaching role.To be considered for this role you will need to have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Be comfortable and flexible in teaching all year groups.
  • Adapt to last-minute changes with ease.
  • Be confident in implementing a range of behaviour management strategies.
  • Enjoy collaborating with a diverse group of children, Learning Support Assistants (LSAs), and other staff members.
