Your new companyI am currently working with an excellent school in the North Liverpool area, who are in need of an experienced level 2 Teaching Assistant to join their friendly team. The school is set in a state of the art building, with an emphasis on innovative teaching based on traditional values. If you have previous experience working in primary schools and are able to commit to full-time hours, then please apply today. Your new roleYour role will primarily focus on supporting children with special needs, as well as wider support with the class as directed by the class teacher. You will work alongside class teachers and your new colleagues to promote a stimulating, inclusive, and accessible learning environment and offer 1:1 and group support in all subjects. Other duties will include intervention and booster sessions, phonics, classroom management, behaviour management and building the self-esteem of your new pupils.What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience of successfully supporting Primary age pupils - relevant qualifications and/or experience of working with children.
  • A clear understanding of appropriate professional relationships and protocols when working with pupils and parents.
  • A willingness to undertake additional training as requested
  • An ability to work as a team alongside the Class Teacher and other Teaching Assistants
  • A flexible approach to working
  • A warm and nurturing disposition
  • Experience in delivering individual language, literacy, numeracy and social intervention programmes
  • Excellent basic skills in Literacy, Numeracy and ICT as well as an excellent command of spoken English
  • Experience of working with children who are new to English (EAL) and their families.
