Our client is a leading international company based in Bordon who are looking for a dynamic Accounts Assistant to join their busy finance team to help support the needs of the business.

Accounts Assistant - About the role
Reporting to the Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for providing accounting support to the Finance team for financial and administrative tasks. Your key responsibilities will be:
- Managing the Purchase Order system, including assigning numbers to authorised POs and maintaining accurate records.
- Processing purchase invoices by matching them with POs where applicable, coding, obtaining approval, and entering them into Sage50.
- Handling and inputting employee expense claims.
- Preparing and processing BACS payments
- Reconciling the petty cash and credit cards
- Performing daily bank reconciliation
- Supporting various reconciliation tasks.
- Assisting in the collection of information for the annual audit.
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts.
The successful Accounts Assistant will have:
- A positive proactive approach, able to work on own initiative
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Relevant accounting or finance qualifications would be an advantage.
- Highly organised and methodical
- Strong numerical skills and excellent attention to detail
- Flexible approach
- Experience of Sage50
- Proficient in Excel
