A well-established firm of Accountants is seeking a candidate for their bookkeeping department.
The role requires experience in sales and purchase ledger duties, bank reconciliations, and VAT return submissions.
Candidates should have prior experience with Xero software and ideally have worked in a similar accounting environment.
The position offers a competitive salary of £30,000 per year and requires at least 2 years of relevant experience.
The firm offers full-time hours with flexible start and finish times, and early closure on Fridays at 1.30pm.

A fantastic opportunity to work with a well-established firm of Accountants within their bookkeeping department. The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of duties including:

Sales and purchase ledger duties
Bank / credit card reconciliations
Preparation / submission of VAT returns and CIS returns
Credit control
Managing supplier payments
Posting journals
Preparation of management accounts
Assisting with preparation of year end files

The firm predominantly uses Xero software, so you must have previous experience using this. Any previous experience working within a firm of accountants or similar would be highly beneficial. The company are ideally looking for someone to work full-time, but they do offer flexibility in start and finish times, and their office closes at 1.30pm on a Friday.
