Are you an ACA / ACCA / CIMA -qualified accountant with a strong technical background looking for your next interim opportunity? A well-established organisation in the healthcare sector is seeking an Interim Group Financial Accountant to support its finance team during a critical period.

About the Role

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will be responsible for group reporting, managing the annual audit process, and overseeing treasury functions. This role is well suited to someone with Big 4 training, experience in complex consolidations, and exceptional attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review the monthly group consolidation pack, ensuring accuracy and integrity.
  • Produce and manage balance sheet reconciliations, acting as the key point of contact for all related queries.
  • Oversee group accounting for IFRS 16 lease liabilities, interest costs, and consolidation journals.
  • Manage weekly group cash flow forecasting and treasury functions.
  • Prepare statutory accounts for multiple UK entities.
  • Ensure compliance with new accounting standards and produce technical accounting papers.
  • Support the external audit process and liaise with auditors.
  • Assist in improving financial controls, systems, and processes across the group.
What We’re Looking For:
  • ACA / ACCA / CIMA-qualified with a strong technical background.
  • Experience with complex consolidations and group reporting.
  • Highly accurate, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent Excel and financial systems proficiency.
