Reception Teacher

Dunbar Education is recruiting for a Reception Teacher to join a primary school in Borehamwood. This full-time, term-time position focuses on delivering straightforward, effective teaching to Reception pupils in a supportive school environment.

Overview of the Role:

• Teach the Reception class, following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
• Plan and deliver purposeful lessons that focus on key learning outcomes.
• Use assessments to track pupil progress and adapt teaching approaches as necessary.
• Work with parents, carers, and staff to provide clear communication on pupil progress.
• Manage classroom behaviour to create a productive learning environment.

What You Need:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in EYFS.
• A strong grasp of the EYFS curriculum and the ability to apply it in a focused, no-frills way.
• Confidence in managing the classroom and ensuring pupils stay on track.
• A practical, efficient approach to teaching, with flexibility to adapt to different learning needs.
