Main Responsibilities as a Complaints Handler

  • Assess and resolve customer complaints efficiently and professionally, ensuring compliance with regulations and promoting good customer outcomes.
  • Engage with customers to understand their needs, resolve queries, and liaise with internal/external parties as necessary.
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis to identify and implement corrective actions and improvements.
  • Accurately input data, complete related paperwork, and adapt to changing priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Support team members and assist with departmental administration, ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards.
  • Monitor workloads to avoid regulatory or reputational risks, achieve performance targets, and maintain punctuality and attendance.
  • Follow Health and Safety regulations and contribute to a safe, organised working environment.
  • Undertake other duties as assigned by senior management.

Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

  • Customer service experience
  • The ability to communicate effectively
  • Previous experience within a complaints handling role
  • Finance or Insurance industry experience
