Our client is a commercial Insurance Broker based in Borehamwood who pride themselves on providing their clients a first-class bespoke service. With a forward-thinking, consultative approach to insurance broking, they are looking for a like-minded individual to join them as an Account Handler based at their Borehamwood office.
Account Handler
Up to £40k DOE | 9-5pm Mon-Fri (hybrid working) | Occasional travel to Colchester office | Commercial insurance | Relationship management | Experienced Insurance Professional | Thriving, innovative Insurance Broker
The role of the Account Handler is to manage some of the business’ key client relationships as they continue to grow. As a developing business they are seeking someone looking to join a thriving, dynamic insurance company offering a unique service to their clients.
Duties (include but are not limited to):
- Manage personable, professional relationships with clients regarding their insurance products
- Keep regular contact via phone, email and face to face meetings to ensure the right products are sought, opportunities are identified and client needs are fully serviced
- Interact with Claims staff when required, ensuring information is accurately recorded and passed on
- Regularly update CRM system with accurate client information and notes from contact
- Support colleagues in identifying and developing new business opportunities with new clients
- Review client renewal requirements and maintain proactive contact with clients prior to renewal, discussing options with clients, providing a tailored approach to their needs
- Liaise with Underwriters regarding underwriting papers
- Proactively engage with colleagues to support the development of this innovative business
- Ensure all duties are carried out in accordance with company procedures and FCA regulations
Person Specification:
- 3 years plus experience in insurance
- Full UK driving licence essential to occasionally travel to Colchester office
- Experience in sales/customer service/account management, preferably including meeting clients
- Good level of education with professional qualification or an enthusiasm to gain them
- Ensure confidentiality is always maintained
- Flexibility in your approach to work
- A personable team-player, confident and building effective relationships
- A competent user of technology who embraces change
- Previous experience as an Account Hander within an Insurance Broker.
- CII qualifications to the appropriate level or willingness to undertake them.
- Use of Acturis platform.
