Are you a qualified and experienced solicitor looking to work in a strong team with a diverse set of backgrounds, who are friendly, highly collaborative, and hard-working?

Do you want to work for one of the largest independent providers of mental health hospitals and facilities across England and Wales?

As a solicitor at Elysium, you will be supporting on matters relating to healthcare law, specifically mental health law-related queries, medical malpractice claims, inquests, investigations, and training. 

It would be advantageous if you have experience of healthcare and general commercial law such as agency agreements, NHS Contracts and payment disputes. 

As a Solicitor, you will:

  • Provide legal advice to the business on all aspects of healthcare law
  • Oversee a diverse case load of contentious litigation matters
  • Provide advice and leadership on complex inquest matters, including the completion of witness statements and case file preparation
  • Provide specific regulatory advice to the business in relation to Elysium’s regulators, including CQC, HIW and Ofsted
  • Draft operational policies and procedures
  • Present training in all aspects of healthcare law to the business

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Be a qualified solicitor/barrister with multiple years’ post qualification experience
  • Have previous experience in an in-house environment (preferable)
  • Be tenacious and hard working
  • Be enthusiastic and keen to learn about and experience new areas
  • Be willing to ‘roll up your sleeves’ and support the business on a range of tasks
  • Be a good communicator
  • Have a desire to understand Elysium, and work closely with a range of staff across the whole company
