Property Manager

OA are recruiting for a Property Manager to join our client’s highly successful and growing team.

The job holder will be responsible for handling and resolving complaints at the early resolution stage following the complaints process, from accepting or declining complaints, assessing evidence and communicating with disputing parties.

Location: Borehamwood

Hours: Full-time, 9am – 5:30pm, Monday to Friday. Hybrid working: 2 days in the office and 3 days from home after a successful probation period. Fixed term contract!

Salary: Around £28,000 – depending on experience

Property Manager - Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and handle complaints making sure KPIs and timescales are followed, and work towards achieving an early resolution
  • Follow the process of collecting and collating complaint evidence and complaint fees, making sure the correct procedures are followed within timescales
  • Communicate with members and complainants updating them on the status of their complaint through regular contact and attempting to reach a resolution
  • Give complaint advice to members and complainants, including communicating with letting and estate agents, landlords, tenants, leasehold management companies and other property professionals
  • Write decisions recommending a resolution to complaints
  • Work with the case officers in escalating and investigating review requests of decisions, and respond to service complaints
  • Check and log complaints, making sure all information is recorded in a timely and accurate manner
  • Maintain your complaints spreadsheet daily and provide data to relevant parties when needed
  • Support with training staff when needed, including company induction and overview sessions
  • Support the team with communication and membership enquiries when needed

Property Manager - Skills and Experience:

  • Experience of complaint or claims handling within a property, legal or customer service environment
  • Experience in the property sector especially the private rented sector is desirable, as well as a basic understanding of the insurance or financial services industry
  • Excellent customer service skills with an excellent telephone manner and able to communicate clearly and precisely
  • Excellent attention to detail making sure high standards of quality are consistently maintained
  • Able to plan and organise, making effective use of time and resources
  • Drive and self-determination with the ability to find and implement solutions to problems
  • Able to work within a team environment and co-operate with team members, building effective working relationships
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and able to learn new systems and processes when needed
