Learning Support Assistant

GSL Education Lincolnshire is looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a large secondary school in Boston. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about supporting students with diverse learning needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with special educational needs.
  • Assist in the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Support classroom teachers in managing student behavior and promoting a positive learning environment.
  • Help students develop social skills and encourage their participation in school activities.
  • Monitor and record student progress, communicating effectively with teachers and parents.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young adults in an educational setting.
  • Understanding of special educational needs and strategies to support them.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
