Our client is a publishing and communications company specialising in the medical sector. They have an opportunity for a Finance Manager to join their team in Bourne End on a hybrid basis (1-2 days in the office).

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all company accounts and investments
  • Work with and support part-time external bookkeeper to ensure timely and accurate recording of all financial transactions
  • Process month end transactions, including, but not limited to, revenue, accruals, prepayments and payroll
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts and financial reports
  • Produce monthly finance Board reporting slides including commentary on financial performance
  • Prepare regular and one-off reports for management, stakeholders and external parties
  • Cash flow management and reporting, updating 13-week cash flow forecast on a weekly basis
  • Collaborate with external accountants to produce annual statutory accounts
  • Collaborate with all departments and work with COO to produce annual budgets and reforecasts as required
  • Utilise Power BI reports to reconcile project financials post-delivery, ensuring revenue and costs are tagged with accurate project codes and meeting regularly with Director's to review performance
  • Send payroll updates to payroll provider and review and authorise monthly payroll
  • Implement and monitor internal controls and policies to ensure compliance with financial regulations
  • Continually seek to identify opportunities to improve efficiencies and enhancements in financial processes

Requirements

  • Several years' experience in finance
  • Accountancy qualification is preferred
