ACCOUNTANT - ESTABLISHED FIRM OF ACCOUNTANTS - OFFICES IN BOURNEMOUTH & POOLE - STARTING SALARY FROM 35,000 DOE - PERMANENT POSITION

Set up utilising the skills of a highly experienced recruiter and a fully qualified chartered accountant, we have the recruitment skills and industry know-how to be able to bring applicants and businesses together, helping business thrive and improving lives.

We have been appointed by a well-established Accountancy Practice with offices in Bournemouth and Poole for an Accountant to join their team. Currently employing circa 15 team members across 2 offices, due to an increased volume of new business, they are looking for someone to join and take control of an established client bank.

You will be responsible for:

• Managing a portfolio of clients across a variety of industry sectors, including attending client meetings and building strong relationships.
• Handling all aspects of accountancy, including preparing and submitting all tax and VAT returns, year-end accounts, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
• Providing proactive advice and guidance to clients to help them achieve their business goals.
• Identifying opportunities to add value through additional services.
• Ensuring deadlines are met and maintaining high standards of client service.

To succeed in this role, you will:

• Be ACA/ACCA qualified or part-qualified, with relevant experience in a practice environment.
• Have a strong understanding of VAT, statutory accounts, and compliance processes.
• Demonstrate excellent client management skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport.
• Work on your own initiative and manage your own work flow
• Be highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Have experience using relevant accountancy software and systems.

• Based on experience there is an initial salary offer from 35,000 upwards
