Vardey Recruitment are retained to recruit a newly qualified accountant, or CIMA/ACCA Finalist to join our client, a high growth, entrepreneurial and professional services business based in Central Bournemouth, Dorset. We are searching for a career hungry Management Accountant, who is keen to progress within the company, as the business continues to grow over the next few years.
The Management Accountants job will be to support the Financial Controller as the No.2 in Finance, undertaking varied key tasks to include preparing and reviewing the monthly management accounts whilst monitoring and analysing variances between actual and budgeted figures. You will also take responsibility for performance reporting, forecasting and FP&A work to include financial modelling. This Management Accountants Job is a crucial role for the continued success of this progressive Dorset company as it scales up and grows.
Newly Qualified Accountant - Job highlights:
- Prepare and review monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Reconcile accounts and ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Responsible for the Fixed Asset Register.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports for senior management.
- Monitor and analyse variances between actual and budgeted figures, providing insights and recommendations.
- FP&A - Performance reporting: Analyse and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track business performance.
- Forecasting and modelling: Develop and maintain financial models to support forecasting and scenario analysis.
- Prepare "what if" analysis to evaluate potential business decisions and their impact on financial performance.
The Newly Qualified Accountant Job role will interest:
- Newly qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or late stages of studies ideally finalist to newly qualified
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Appetite to improve systems/processes
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software
- Team management, coaching and development
- Bundles of emotional intelligence, self-awareness and vision, strong team player – collaborate player, flexible individual
- Ambitious, entrepreneurial
- Candidates straight from practice seeking first step into industry would be considered
In return to the Newly Qualified Accountant:
- Basic salary of up to £45,000 + 10% Bonus OTE £50,000
