We are seeking an experienced Administrator with a passion for working with children, particularly those with additional learning needs. This unique role based in Bournemouth, offers more than typical administrative duties; it includes direct involvement with pupils, providing a dynamic and varied workday.
The position is situated within a specialist educational campus catering to pupils aged 3-19 with Autism, equipped with excellent facilities.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Perform administrative and receptionist duties, ensuring smooth operations within the school environment.
- Engage directly with pupils through teaching assistant tasks, including small group or 1:1 support.
- Assist in the transition of pupils from local transport to the classroom.
- Collaborate with reception colleagues to organise morning routines and communicate via radio instructions.
- Provide an inclusive and supportive service to all students, enhancing their educational experience.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong passion for and commitment to working with children, especially those with Special Educational Needs (SEN), specifically Autism (ASD).
- Excellent communication skills with a patient and organised approach.
- Ability to handle a dynamic and varied workload effectively.
- Previous experience in an administrative role; experience in education or SEN settings is highly advantageous.
- Must obtain a child and adult Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Certificate, which can be facilitated through Reed. (DBS)
