This role presents a unique opportunity to work in the aerospace industry, focusing on the maintenance of both commercial and service aircraft.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing base and, when required, line maintenance on company and customer-operated aircraft, including servicing, inspections, modifications, and defect rectification.
- Prioritising safety by operating in accordance with the SHE Technical Standards and applying identified safe systems of work.
- Applying countermeasures identified in applicable risk assessments to assigned operations and tasks.
- Controlling any material or company equipment provided for tasks.
- Maintaining cleanliness of the working area at all times.
- Ensuring all associated base maintenance equipment is replenished and service dates are complied with.
- Possibility of working shift patterns to meet operational demands.
Job Requirements:
- Aviation apprenticeship background.
- Experience with aircraft structures in a line or base maintenance facility.
- Understanding of service or commercial aircraft engineering/operations (desirable).
- Ability to gain full UK security clearance if not already gained.
- Motivated team player and physically fit to undertake manual tasks around and on board the aircraft.
- Medically fit for detachment.
