Formulation chemist
This new role for an expand laboratory is working for a brand leading and innovative company at the forefront within their sector. They specialise in developing a range of products used in lubricants development and applications, cleaning products, and sealing technology.
Key responsibilities for an application chemist
- Deliver both long & short-term development activities within the R&D programme for coatings or lubrication or Sealants.
- Develop and evaluate new formulation for new and existing applications, to bring them to the market speedily and effectively.
- Redevelop and enhance existing formulations using blending, mixture or liquids, powders and polymers
- Ensure all assigned work is delivered in a timely manner and all associated requirements, objectives and targets are fully met.
- Responsible for the technical development of formulations and aiding in the scaling up of new products.
- Laboratory housekeeping and demonstrate competency in HSE for chemical handling.
- Provide technical evidence to compliance and regulatory claims.
The Candidate
- Ideally degree qualified in material science, chemistry, formulation
- Ideally 3 year experience in Lubricants formulation, oil or Additive formulation, or cosmetics would be a advantage.
- Experienced at delivering technical projects on time and budget,
- Development of applications and liquid products
- Good communications between departments
