We are seeking a Internal Account Manager to join our dynamic team. This role involves selling designated products by telephone to specified customers, providing tactical coverage for specific assignments, and covering field force duties as required. You will report directly to the Sales Support Manager and play a key role in achieving sales targets and growing the business.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Sell over-the-counter products to pharmacies at agreed prices and deal levels to achieve defined average daily call rate, orders, and value/volumes, adhering to the telesales call flow model.
  • Grow the business on territory by brand over a set period, ensuring personal and team targets are met while developing new business.
  • Provide coverage for sickness, holidays, and other absences of field-based pharmacy sales representatives, if required.
  • Support clients by telephone during specific sales drives, producing emails, flyers, and promotional material to assist in target achievement.
  • Ensure daily administration is completed accurately, and advice of call emails are sent out to pharmacies one week in advance of the proposed telesales call.
  • Complete all order processing and recording efficiently and accurately.
  • Liaise with Distribution over free or other stock required to fulfil orders.
  • Monitor your own sales performance to ensure that call rates and standards are met and maintained.
  • Utilise the company’s CRM system to analyse your sales performance and react to sales trends.
  • Develop and maintain current knowledge of the industry.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years internal account management experience in a similar fast-paced and target-driven environment.
  • Experience in the FMCG industry is desirable.
  • Proficiency in using a CRM system to load sales results and run basic reports.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to detail product features and benefits and handle objections.
  • Negotiation skills with the ability to engage effectively with buyers.
